Mercedes-Benz South Africa is wholly owned by Daimler AG, and is one of the largest foreign investors in South Africa.
The company started its South African operation in Johannesburg in 1954, today its headquarters are in Zwartkop, Gauteng. Marketing and sales, finance and controlling, media and communications, information technology, dealer network, after-sales services and supply chain divisions operate from these offices
