A number of MBSA representatives were honoured guests at the much-loved Ekukhanyeni project in Lawley recently, for their annual Christmas party.
Attendees included 200 pre-school children, aged from six months to five years, who benefit from the MBSA-funded Early Childhood Development Programme. The local Lawley councillor, various sponsors, as well as members of the community also attended.
Mercedes-Benz Cars, represented by Mpumi Cele, presented a cheque to the value of R60 000 to the organisation - the proceeds raised from the Mercedes-Benz Ladies Golf Classic Tournament held throughout the course of this year.
This contribution will be used to purchase cutlery, crockery, sleeping mats and First Aid kits for the eight backroom creches funded by MBSA through Ekukhanyeni this year.
The Ekukhanyeni project is supported in terms of the Mercedes-Benz commitment to combating the socio-economic impact of HIV/AIDS in vulnerable communities in South Africa.
