Johannesburg / The Mandeville-based wheelchair basketball teams received a further boost to their already formidable sets of wheels when Mercedes-Benz South Africa’s (MBSA) Vice-President for Commercial Vehicles sales and marketing, Kobus van Zyl, generously handed over two Mercedes-Benz Vito Vans for the safe and reliable transport of the teams to various sporting events.

“MBSA has been providing sponsorship in one way or another, but mostly in the form of transport, to national disabled sports organisations for many years. These vehicles are donated to the WBSA after, at first, signing a sponsorship agreement for the use of the vehicles three years ago. We couldn’t wish for a more fitting association between our Mercedes-Benz brand than these remarkable sportsmen and women with their fearless commitment, unbelievable energy, and passion.”

MBSA has also been a proud sponsor of the National Paralympic Team for close on 20 years, as well.
